Admissions

St. Michael's admits students of all races, colors, creeds, religions, national and ethnic origins to all the rights, privileges, and activities made available to the students at the school. The school accepts not only the individual child, but also the family into its small, caring community. Admission is open to all who can benefit from a challenging academic curriculum and who will dedicate themselves to a higher standard of responsibility in their behavior.

Request for enrollment may be made at any time. The applicant must be in good academic and personal standing at his/her present school. After an initial visit by the parents for classroom observation and conference with Admissions Director or Head of School, the prospective student spends a day at the school.  In addition to the visitation day, the applicant will be screened for basic skills in writing, reading, and mathematics.  A final meeting is held with the parents and the student to discuss the results of the evaluation and the day's visit.  This ensures that the needs of both the family and the school are met by the admission of the child to the school.

The fact that St. Michael's puts professional development at the top of its priority list is very obvious in the quality of teaching and learning that takes place in our curricular and co-curricular activities."
